Warning!!! A pack of 1 means you only get 1 single glove. I was an idiot and I didn't see that, but in fairness, I say lone wolf and not a pack of 1 wolf. Other than my own mistake, it is a nice thick glove that makes handling hot pots and pans much easier. The one size is close to a Large/XL so it will fit most people. On my medium hand there is a little more room in the fingers than I'd like.
Either these are not the real Ove Glove, or they have changed their manufacturing. After having the originals for many years, these are nowhere near as heat-resistant as the ones I’ve had previously.
It's an Ove Glove. It works as advertised.
Only blocks heat for like 3 seconds, maybe 4... If you're just taking a tray out of the oven and setting it immediately on the counter, this works fine. But if you're holding a hot tray / handle while you remove the food from the tray, your hand will get absolutely obliterated. It is absolutely not rated to 500+ degrees like it claims, it's literally like using a knitted winter glove (although I imagine that might even work better). I've burnt my hand holding onto a tray from a 350°F oven multiple times when the glove is perfectly dry. And if the ove glove does get even a little wet, that will turn into superheated vapor that can seriously injure you. I asked my friend who I bought one of these for and he absolutely hates it now as well, we both ended up buying something better immediately after I asked him about what he thinks of it.tl;dr: do yourself a favor, either get one of those gloves for BBQing that's rated to like 900°+ or just stick with an oven mitt
I feel more comfortable using this than traditional potholders
